Why build a custom home?
Reasons to build a custom home:
- You get EXACTLY what you want. You design the floorplan, kitchen layout, bathroom layouts, light and electrical placement, brick/siding/stone color, cabinets, and any upgrade that you choose.
- You can build on your own land or buy land anywhere and build on it. No pre-determined lots.
- Better resale value.
- You can make any necessities possible such as wheelchair accessibility, counter height adjustments, or anything else that may benefit you in your lifestyle/needs.
- You will have a one-of-a-kind home.
- Custom home builders typically have a lot of pride in their work and care about the quality of home that they make as their reputation depends on it.
- It just feels good!
The last point really hits the nail on the head. It will feel good to own a one of a kind place that reflects you. Shouldn't your home be exactly how you want it?
ReplyDeleteI've read a lot of reasons for why you would want to build a custom home rather than buy something pre-built. However, my concern has been how much it would cost to buy the land and then build the house vs buying a house that is already built. It would be amazing to build your own house and have it look exactly the way you want it to though. It's on my list of things to research as my husband and I are thinking about buying a house in the next few years. http://jpmoserproperties.com
